Applying for a Work Permit After Graduation (Scoring Criteria)

Three Basic Requirements for Staying in Taiwan Through the Scoring Criteria
International students who wish to stay in Taiwan for employment after graduation may apply through the Scoring Criteria system. The following are the three fundamental eligibility conditions:

Scoring Criteria for International Students
Applicants must reach 70 points or above (out of 200) according to the Ministry of Labor’s Scoring Criteria.

Application Procedures

1. After receiving a job offer:
The graduate submits the following documents to the employer:

Scoring Criteria Form
Supporting documents for each scoring item (e.g., passport, employment contract, diploma, certificates)
2. Employer submits the application:
The employer prepares the application form and required documents and submits them to the Ministry of Labor (MOL) to apply for the work permit.

3. Online work permit application by employer:
The employer must apply through the MOL Foreign Professionals Work Permit Application Website.

Steps:

Select “Application for Foreign Professional Work Permit”.
Create an account if needed: Introduction to account registration & application.
Log in and start a new application under “New Case Application”.
Processing Time:
The Ministry of Labor will complete the review within 7 working days starting from the day after receiving the application.
