International Buddy has been a traditional volunteer program at NTPU for a long time. The members of the International Buddies Program are mostly our local students, who are volunteers selected by OIA according to their English ability, upbeat personality, and exchange experience background. Usually, one international student will be paired with an international buddy. NTPU international buddies are enthusiastic about being international students’ friends, peer advisors, or Mandarin practice tutors. They are also willing to share college experience, curriculum selection skills, and Taiwanese food and culture. What’s more, they are eager to practice Mandarin with international students and assist them in getting used to life overseas, inviting international students to participate in campus activities and giving them a wonderful college experience at NTPU in Taiwan.
